Can I have turmeric while wearing braces?

Hi guys, just a simple question:

Can I consume turmeric while wearing braces?
I’ve looked online and lots of websites say they can stain them, I’m not too bothered by this, but can turmeric actually damage them or not?

Are there any other recommendations etc?
