Just a break from dooming about Jin/Multiplayer/Servers/Is there will be DLC or is game am ded? to appreciate a major change that doesn't seem to be talked about.
There seems to be tons of widespread map changes beyond just the new maps. The color palette seems nicer and the landscape feels a lot more organic and interesting.
High View now starts you on a hilltop with a ring of woods at the base instead of a nondescript empty spot. Altai's mountains are a lot more "rough", with narrower and wider spots and different branching ledges like a real mountain range instead of just a neat line down the map. Fr*nch Pass has rolling hills on the sides of the mountains.
The changes don't affect the gameplay or balance, they just make the map more interesting to look at and immersive, and I really appreciate that the devs went back and touched up older content instead of only working on new content.
