Should I upgrade from GarageBand to LogicPro?

For some background, I have been a pianist my whole life and now I have recently gotten into music production in GarageBand for the past few weeks, a musical background has definitely helped me get straight into composing and experimenting. I feel myself being limited by basic level compressors and midi editing, and almost no room to edit vocals beyond a basic pitch correction nob EQ settings and reverb. I would just get plugins but by the time I spend money on those I would have practically payed the same amount as Logic. The only thing I may he scared of is getting bored of production and deciding to quit down the line but I doubt that will happen. Does it seem like a good time to upgrade?
