Evangelical Youtuber Talking about Jehovah's Witnesses and Michael Jackson Movie
Ruslan KD is somewhat of a prominent figure in the Christian/Evangelical YouTube world.
He goes into some things I personally didn't know about Michael Jackson's struggles with the Jehovah's Witness organization. One interesting thing I didn't know about was the back story for the disclaimer on the music video for thriller.
Apparently, he was pressured by elders not to release the video and even at some point wanted it destroyed. This disclaimer was somewhat of a compromise. He also goes into Michael leaving the religion due to mandated shunning of his sister. It sounds like this might be covered in the 2nd movie, which would not make JWs very happy that liked the first movie.
I personally didn't know a lot about the other things mentioned in the video and hope you find in somewhat insightful, though it will probably be old news to veteran exjws. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fuqfdr5DSk
