Why is it so hard to find a ugc platform with both great UI and great functionality?
Maybe it hits harder because I'm a designer, but I genuinely can't unsee bad UI. It's like a constant itch I can't scratch.
And it feels like you always have to pick one. Either the platform looks clean and modern but barely does what you actually need, or it's packed with powerful features but the interface is so clunky you dread opening it every single day.
Buttons that are impossible to find, dashboards that overwhelm you the second you log in, settings buried under five submenus, user flows that just make no sense. You end up spending more time fighting the interface than actually getting work done. And as someone who thinks about these things professionally, it genuinely drives me crazy because it doesn't have to be this way.
The potential is clearly there. The features exist. The product works. But the experience just kills it. Someone built something great and then handed it to users wrapped in confusion.
has anyone found platforms that actually get both right? Something that's genuinely a pleasure to use AND does everything you need it to?
