The state of the board at the end of Light Bringer and beginning of Red God.

1. Lysander: Brings the spoils of the moons back to the Core. Bought a modicum of loyalty from his fleet. Has the Light Bringer, which for now is still the biggest MoonBreaker around. Has the Eidmi. On the surface, he still ostensibly stands with Atalantia, but he has the necessary levers to take her out. Does not know about the Volk forces or Athena. Has Gorgons in his midst still, who may wish to betray him for the highest bidder. Traveling to Mars to do an Iron Rain and end the Republic.
2. Atalantia: Still the dominant power at the Core. As far as we know she still besieges Luna and Mars. Her forces are big but conventional. May or may not have knowledge of the Eidmi through Atlas, if he clued her in to his plans. Soured on Lysander a bit. May want to keep him around for now.
3. Darrow: Leads the Daughters-Volk joint fleet. Wants to flay Lysander alive. Traveling to Mars to break the siege and save the Republic. Lacks a true edge beyond his fleet.
4. Diomedes and Rim forces: 2 vectors of approach, Neptune Shadow fleet going from Mercury out, Diomedes and Ganymede's forces joining Darrow. Wants to bake Lysander into a pie and eat him.
5. Mars: Essentially everything the Republic has left, all the ships, men, etc. Not lacking in Helium or food, but doesn't have forever. Unless something big happens this will be the site of a pitched battle. Currently under siege from Atalantia or the Minotaur's forces.
6. Regulus and Matteo: In the Rim, may or may not have started their generation ship journey. May be on the path of one or more armies. Has knowledge on Psyches.
7. Psyches: 5 prototypes unaccounted for, possibly a complete version exists. Lyria has useful knowledge on them. Is the edge Darrow desperately needs to compete with Lysander's Eidmi.
8. Pax: Almost certainly gonna get ahold of a Psyche. Currently on Mars.
9. Mama Bellona: Will fucking DESPISE Lysander for merking her last son and family member. Currently in Atalantia's camp. Will plot against Lysander in some way, shape or form.
10. The Minotaur: Wildcard. Not sure where he went after being ousted from the Venus dockyards. Is a brilliant fighter and well-loved by the people, though he's without much personal power as of yet. May fall in with Atalantia and become her new consort as the schism with Lysander grows.
