Admin clueless about room change

I’ve been in the same room for 9 years and admin decided today to notify me and my suite mate that we will have to move rooms over the summer. I’m so annoyed. I asked admin if they would reimburse me for the additional expense when moving classrooms. I have zero desire to create an influencer classroom but I will have to purchase things to hang items on the walls and other items like extension cords that I do not need in my current room. I also have a huge STEM lab in my current classroom that is not easy to move.

Admin looked at me like I was crazy and said there was no money for that. I also asked when I was supposed to move my things and they said over the summer. So I asked if I was going to be paid for those days and they again looked at me like I was crazy. I’m expected to come work for free over the summer and not be reimbursed for my time or expenses.

Admin just said that it could be worse and told my suite mate that at least she has a job. I will not be coming up over the summer.

I just walked out. I’m so over this year.
