People with bad eye sight, how do you improve your gameplay?

I have bad eyes, nearsighted. I don't wear my glasses when I play.

How do you guys improve visibility? I find that sometimes it gets hard to see the enemies.

Wondering if there are some visual settings that I could adjust? Or maybe I just need to use higher zoom optics? I typically use the 1x optics, just because that's what ive gotten used to.
