Any experiences with retrograde ejaculation

ADVICE

My husband did a semen analysis and the volume was too low to test. The doctor suspects it’s retrograde ejaculation as they found sperm in his urine sample, and an ultrasound showed he only has one kidney (so it’s likely a congenital issue as the urinary and reproductive organs develop together).

We’re currently waiting on his insurance to confirm they will cover the costs of an MRI, which should give us more info about the anatomy issue. We’re also waiting on next steps from the fertility clinic to see if he should try another semen analysis, or maybe they will see if they can extract the sperm from his urine and test it that way.

I’m just feeling like this is a lot to process and struggling with it tbh.

Does anyone have any experience with this?
