The 5 Boat Limit Really Hurts Sailing

It’s clear that we are intended to use multiple boats for sailing with all the different facilities we can build.

One problem I have is I am scared of going to grind out dragon sheets and use them to upgrade my non primary boats because if later a new boat type is added, this will be a large grind that goes completely to waste. Especially given the fact that the largest boat we currently have access to is called “medium sized” in game, it is implied that we are likely to get more boat types later on.

But with the amount of training methods we already have, it’s already tight to have a ship for everything. You need a raft in case there is more charting, a sloop for barracuda trials, and a skiff for salvaging, trawling and combat. Thats all five ships right there.

Because I don’t want to waste dragon metal sheets, I currently use facility bottles to switch facilities on my skiff for each of the three methods. I feel like I don’t have a lot of choice but to do this given both how long it takes to upgrade these ships and how likely they are to become irrelevant with future updates
