Android Auto Waze "Zoomed Out" issue - 10.25" Linux Head Unit (BMW NBT)

Tech Support

Hi everyone. I’m rocking a 10.25" aftermarket Linux-based head unit on my 2015 BMW F36 (original system was NBT).
I’m having a frustrating scaling issue with Android Auto: Waze and Google Maps look extremely "zoomed out." Even at max zoom, the car icon is tiny and the streets are hard to see. It’s like the system is forcing a high-density resolution that doesn’t fit the widescreen aspect ratio properly.
The strange part? Apple CarPlay looks perfect on the same screen. Since this is a Linux unit (not Android), I can't use apps like "DPI Changer" or "Headunit Reloaded" to fix it. I’ve tried changing the video resolution in Android Auto developer settings, but the "drone view" persists.
Has anyone with a Linux widescreen unit for NBT found a fix for this? Is there a specific factory setting or a way to trick Android Auto into a closer zoom level?
Thanks in advance!
