What DBConvert is for

Question

DBConvert covers two related product lines.

DBConvert is the long-running database migration and synchronization toolkit for moving data between database engines.

DBConvert Streams is the newer product focused on database exploration, cross-database SQL, migration workflows, and CDC replication from one interface.

This subreddit is for both.

Good questions here:

- Which DBConvert tool should I use for a migration?

- How should I validate a database move?

- When does CDC make sense instead of a one-time migration?

- What breaks when moving between MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, files, or S3?

- How do DBConvert tools compare with DBeaver, DataGrip, Navicat, Debezium, Airbyte, AWS DMS, or Fivetran?

This community is not meant to replace support, but public technical questions are welcome when the answer can help other people too.
