Eight years ago today

On May 12, 2018, one of my daughter’s best friends was killed in a two-car accident. She was 18. She was on her way into church for a meeting about an upcoming missions trip. I’m unable to put into words what a remarkable young woman she was.

The girl who hit her was also a friend of my daughter’s. They cheered together. She was 17 at the time of the accident. She was texting and lost control of her car and hit and killed Kennedie instantly.

It was a tragedy all the way around. The girl who hit her has suffered greatly.

I’m sharing this as a reminder to please stay off your phone while driving. It’s not worth it.
