Copper in 60 Seconds: Why the Bull Case Is Getting Stronger
Copper demand is rising. AI adds power demand. The grid is overloaded. China still dominates refined copper usage. The U.S. has a copper gap. New mines take too long.
That is the macro setup.
NovaRed Mining, is one junior copper-gold explorer that fits this backdrop. Its Wilmac Copper-Gold Project in British Columbia covers about 16,078 hectares, or roughly 160 square kilometers. That is about 30,000 football fields and 2.7x Manhattan.
Wilmac is located in the Quesnel porphyry belt, about 10 km west of Copper Mountain Mine. The company is still early stage, with no producing mine, no defined resource, and no revenue.
The newest catalyst is North Lamont. NovaRed reported 43 soil samples, with copper up to 379 ppm Cu. The western cluster averaged 209 ppm Cu across nine samples above 150 ppm. The company also reported moderate-to-high Sr/Y and moderate V/Sc, which are geochemical indicators used in copper-gold porphyry targeting.
The next important step is the North Lamont IP/AMT survey. If it confirms deeper chargeability or resistivity features under the copper soils and magnetic anomaly, the target could move higher in priority.
Copper demand is moving now. New supply takes years. NovaRed is speculative, but Wilmac gives investors exposure to the discovery side of that supply problem.
