How to negotiate my hike in Service Based Startup?
I joined the company as an intern in November 2024 and completed around 6 months of internship before getting converted to full-time in April 2025 with a package of 6.5 LPA fixed + 1.5 variable. Since July 2025, I’ve been working onsite for one of our major clients after cracking the client interview internally.
Over the past several months, I’ve consistently received good feedback from my manager for my performance. The kind of work and responsibilities I’m currently handling are on par with developers who have 4+ years of experience in the team. I’ve been taking ownership of tasks end-to-end, handling responsibilities independently, and contributing beyond what would normally be expected at my experience level.
From discussions with seniors, I understand that the usual hike cycle may only offer around 10–15%, but considering my contributions, performance, and the level at which I’m currently working, I wanted to discuss a revision closer to the 10–12 LPA range. I feel my current salary is on par with the responsibilities and expectations I'm handling right now.
So please help me to negotiate with my manager regarding this.
