NovaRed's latest Wilmac update is more interesting than another surface sample headline.

The company reported interpretation from a historical 3DIP/AMT survey completed on the Lamont Grid. The key point is that the survey outlined two interpreted parent intrusive bodies, each with multiple pipe-like features extending upward toward surface. NovaRed interprets those features as potential porphyry centers.

That matters because porphyry copper-gold systems are usually about geometry. Surface copper is useful, but the bigger question is what sits below it. This update gives NRED a deeper target map to combine with the soil data.

The historical Volterra survey covered 7 lines, spaced about 984 feet apart. The individual lines ran about 1.5 to 1.7 miles long, with stations about 328 feet apart. The AMT side imaged resistivity down to roughly 4,900 feet, which is much deeper than surface sampling can show.

The geochemistry connection is the part I like most. NovaRed said anomalous copper-in-soil values north of the grid reached up to 1,125 ppm copper and broadly correlate with near-surface chargeability and deeper conductivity anomalies on the eastern side of the survey area.

So now the Lamont story has multiple layers: copper in soil, chargeability, resistivity, conductivity, interpreted faults, and two possible intrusive centers. That is exactly the type of dataset that can help shape the 2026 IP/AMT program and prioritize targets before drilling.

Wilmac itself is large enough to support this kind of district-scale model. The project covers about 39,700 acres, or roughly 62 square miles. That is about 30,000 football fields and around 2.7x Manhattan. It also sits about 6.2 miles west of Hudbay's producing Copper Mountain Mine in British Columbia's Quesnel porphyry belt.

NRED is still early stage. No producing mine, no defined resource, no revenue. Geophysics is not drilling, and pipe-like porphyry targets are interpretations until tested.

But this update moves the story forward. North Lamont had surface geochemistry. Lamont now has deeper 3DIP/AMT geometry. The next question is whether the 2026 program can turn those layers into ranked drill targets.

NFA, just tracking the setup.
