I built my own lead qualification tool after looking at the pricing of existing ones

For 2 years I took every discovery call that came in. No filter, no qualification, just booked it and showed up.

Some were great. Most were not ready, not the right fit, or just curious. I never had a system to tell the difference before the call.

When I finally looked at tools that could help, ScoreApp wanted $1,164 a year. Typeform charges $708 a year just to unlock scoring features. I decided to build my own instead.

8 weeks later I had something working. A scored quiz that sits in front of my calendar. People answer a few questions, get a score, and based on that score they either book a call automatically, get sent to a nurture email, or get redirected to free resources.

I put it online for free because the pricing of existing tools was the whole reason I built it myself.

Three months later it’s being used in 15 countries by people I never expected. A vet in the UK screening dogs for surgery. A workplace safety officer in South Africa. Someone at Universal Music. A professor at CalArts. None of them are using it for lead qualification.

Has anyone else here built their own tool because the existing pricing was just not justified?
