French Bulldog owners, what was the first small sign that made you realize something was off?
I keep seeing this pattern with French Bulldogs where the first warning sign is so small that owners just assume it’s normal at first.
It might be:
- a little more panting than usual
- louder breathing at night
- getting tired faster on walks
- sleeping with the neck stretched out
- reverse sneezing
- snoring that slowly got worse
- seeming uncomfortable in mild weather
That’s what makes Frenchies tricky sometimes — the early signs can look like “just a Frenchie thing” until they aren’t.
For people who’ve dealt with this, what was the first little change you noticed in your dog?
Did it start with breathing, heat, sleep, or something else?
