Film Photographers - Darkroom Space

Hi everyone! I’m curious if there’s interest in a community darkroom space, specifically around Logan Square / Humboldt Park.

I’m relocating my photo studio into a storefront and planning to build out a darkroom that could be shared with other photographers. Before I go too far, I wanted to get a sense from local film enthusiasts about whether this is something the community is looking for.

The current plan includes equipment for:

• Black & white film developing and printing
• 35mm through 4x5 enlarging
• Prints up to 16x20

I’d love to continue expanding the space and equipment over time now that I’ll have room to grow.
