AI support is a joke [Revolut]
So as a test - I wanted to see how well Revolut's AI chat support reacted to my query about some of my transactions. In short, it stated that Revolut does have some in-built 'duty of care' protocals in place ... and despite my heavy spending (compulsion - which I'm now taking control over), admits that it didn't raise any alarms to warrant any verification steps.
It first states that it can't find this merchant's name under my transactions history, and then asks if I was "using a different bank account or a card outside of Revolut." - to which I answered, no. The bots' follow up: " Thank you for clarifying the exact name, I can't find anything even with the exact writing you provided. Then proceeds to talk about their two-step verifications etc. etc.
So I respond by sending a screenshot of the merchant history (copilot and gpt have no issues reading this), though Revolut seems to accuse me of deepfaking/photoshopping these images as they have "carefully checked your transaction history again and strangely, your transactions are missing from our end." and that I "Confirm if I am looking at these screens directly inside the Revolut app right now...? "
Once I strongly stated that the EFT's are still listed in my history, it contradicts everything it's just said with "I can see those transactions now, and there were no security checks in place that didn't protect you at the time in 2025..."and so on.
I couldn't keep going with this bot, it's stupid. As to why the world thinks this is a good idea, using AI for its well...everything, is beyond me. I hate AI so much, especially as an artist and musician. But as for this chat support, to first accuse the customer of providing false screenshots that it can't recognise its own platform, and then to contradict itself by going 'oops sorry my bad'. Is just insane.
