Thinking of returning to PlayStation: What’s your take on the current state of Sony console?

Hi everyone!

I’ve jumped between PC and various consoles over the years, but I’m planning a comeback to PlayStation mainly (Not PC for personal reasons). My last PS was a PS4 Pro back in 2020-21, and after testing other setups, I’ve realized that PlayStation is where I feel most at home (I’ve owned every generation so far).

Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot about positive changes at Xbox, as well as some "controversial moves" from Sony. Personally, I’m planning to pick up a PS5 Base (Disc Edition) because I’m a big fan of physical media (this is also a small reason for console over PC). I decided to skip the PS5 Pro for now and wait for the PS6, especially since my backlog is massive (I haven't played a single Spiderman, Last of Us, Horizon).

I’d love to hear your thoughts on these three questions:

1. What made you choose PS5 over other platforms?
2. Are you planning to get the PS6 when it eventually drops, or are you holding off? Why?
3. Has any recent Sony news or drama annoyed you the most lately?
