Any tips to help with rumination
Hey guys so since I was little I would randomly think about how time doesn’t stop and it just continues on and on etc. It would feel a sense of doom. It only happened a few times when I was a kid.
Now, as an adult (27), I constantly think about it. It gives me instant panic attacks. If I watch something and there’s an old person in it, I’m thinking “I wonder if they think about the fact they are closer to the end”. It is really annoying and I always think about when I’m doing anything.
I know there is obviously nothing I can do about time but it doesn’t make me feel better. If anything that makes it worse. I’m literally having a panic attack as I type this lmao
Sometimes I wish I was religious and fully believed in heaven but I’m someone who questions everything and needs solid proof of something being real. I wish I could take comfort in something like that.
With all that being said, is there anyone who thinks about this stuff too? Even if we don’t ruminate about the same thing, what helps you the most?
I take 25mg of lexapro and 300mg of Wellbutrin - the lexapro mostly with anxiety and Wellbutrin for depression. Now it feels like it’s mainly ocd now that affects me. We did up my lexapro to 25mg not that long ago so hopefully that will help more but idk I need some help on this🥲
