idk what should i pu as a title
I feel this emptiness inside me sometimes, like a need to be understood, loved, or chosen. But every time I try to approach someone, or even when I was in past relationships, something felt wrong. I felt like I was forcing myself into a role that wasn’t really me.
I don’t want to beg for love. That’s what bothers me the most. I know the kind of man I am. When I love someone, I give it back with triple the energy, loyalty, and sincerity. But most of the time it feels like I have to work endlessly just to receive the bare minimum in return, and eventually it stops feeling worth it.
I’m not the smoothest talker, and I’m not some poetic genius. But I’m honest. I listen. I care deeply. I’ve always been the shoulder to cry on, the person people vent to, the entertainer, the “smart” guy, the philosopher. Everything except the person someone truly chooses romantically.
Maybe it’s because I think too much. Maybe I make people feel understood but not emotionally excited. Or maybe I’ve just always been treated like an option instead of the option.
And honestly, that realization hurts more than loneliness itself.
