Options for D/E/Either

Not official, just curious and open to conversation about this.

From what I understand, those who applied for both Day and Evening have an advantage if they scored above the Day cutoff. I‘m assuming the majority of applicants who could apply to both, did just that because, well, who wouldn’t. However, this might affect those who only applied for Day if the system favors Day for those “either” applicant who ranked high. So I wonder if that is the case? Does anyone have different ideas for how the “either” category will affect it? I have a feeling it will increase the cutoffs for the Day program by a large amount since there’ll be a much bigger pool of people applying for “either” as opposed to solely one or the other. I also think “evening only“ applicants have an advantage since those making the cutoffs higher for them will have most likely gotten into the Day program through “either.”
