My investment strategy for 2026
I've been testing a simple rules based strategy over the past few months, and it's helped me stay much calmer during volatile markets.
My allocation is:
• 60% Bitcoin
• 30% Ethereum
• 10% higher-risk altcoins
I invest a fixed amount every month regardless of market conditions (basic DCA). This removes the stress of trying to guess the perfect entry.
The part that has helped the most is rebalancing once a month.
If one asset grows too much and exceeds its target allocation, I trim a little and move the excess into the underweighted assets.
Example:
If BTC grows from 60% to 70% of my portfolio, I sell a small portion and redistribute it into ETH and alts.
Why I like this approach:
It keeps me disciplined.
It forces me to take some profits instead of getting greedy.
It helps me buy underperforming assets when they are relatively cheaper.
It removes emotional decision-making.
My exit rule is also simple:
If I need cash or if my portfolio reaches a target I’m happy with, I take profits gradually rather than trying to sell everything at the exact top.
What I’ve noticed:
This strategy is not exciting, but it is much easier to stick with than constantly chasing trending coins.
The biggest benefit has been psychological. I spend less time staring at charts and more time letting the system do the work.
Curious if anyone else uses a similar allocation and rebalancing strategy.
