Left shift key doesn't work on the edges of the keycap

Open | Hardware

Hello everyone. I have this problem on my laptop that the left shift key only works when I press it in the middle. I've had my Huawei Matebook D14 (specifically NBD-WXX9) for 2 years now, but lately it's been really annoying to do any sort of typing on this laptop. I also happen to be a programmer and a vim user, this problem makes programming so much more frustrating to the point that I don't want to do it anymore. I had a chat with chatgpt and it suggested that I look under the keycap for any sort of cracked plastic, but I noticed nothing unusual. I also mentioned that the keycap has a scratch from my pinky finger and it said that it's most likely the rubber dome/contact underneath losing stiffness or collapsing unevenly over time. So, what can I try to fix it? I've also thought about getting a keyboard to replace the old one, but there are literally no replacements for my specific model, so I don't really know what to do. Thanks y'all for any help!
