Is it Safe to fly with your PC in your carry on?

I'm moving to a different continent for a year, need to bring my PC. I know the smartest thing is to just disassemble everything, but if I hypothetically just put my whole built PC in my carry on, cushioned it real good, would it be safe? Especially since its me handling my own luggage and not checking it.
