does a man’s family background or past trauma matter to you, even if he’s successful now?

General

For example, imagine a guy who’s self-made and earning ₹1Cr+ per year, but comes from a lower-middle-class or poor family background—maybe his father is a gig worker, Rapido/cab driver, or a small businessman.

Would his background make you think twice?

Sometimes people say it takes generations to truly change mindset and habits, and that childhood struggles or past trauma can leave lasting effects on a person’s behavior, thinking, or emotional patterns.

Would you worry that those experiences might still shape how he behaves in relationships or life decisions? Or would you only care about the person he has become today?

Would you feel comfortable being with someone like that, or does family background still matter to you in some way?
