How much did Suriya have fallen from grace?

Naaleiku karuppu release aaguma nu koodi therille. Rewinding the time to early 2010s. Dude was a fucking beast back then. If a producer put let's say 15 crores for his film, the box office would have been around 70-80 crores (for ayan and singam). 5x return. Ana ippo vanthu vanthu etho vijay padam maari varuma varaathu maathiri aayidichu. Ennatha aayidichu suriyaviku? Even the car racer's film won't face such delays like this.
