Newb question: crimping with bench vice?

I have been crimping 10-2/0 copper wire to lugs with my bench vice. I haven’t had any problems so far and it seems like pretty solid connections but I don’t see much information about it online. Is this a reliable way to crimp lugs or should I get a crimper and re-do all of my connections?
