Sore throat, not strep

Currently experiencing a gnarly sore throat that has been going on for 3 days. Was tested for strep 2 days ago and it was negative. I have pretty bad allergies but they had gotten much better before this started. I sleep with a humidifier, drink herbal tea with honey, I’ve tried cough drops, and gargling with salt water and nothing helps or it only relieves the pain for a moment. I don’t sound hoarse or dry and I’m not coughing but it hurts really bad to swallow especially when it’s food. When I flex my throat muscles I can see a white dot on my tongue in the very back (kind of looks like a whitehead) and everything just looks super red. Let me know if I need to go back to urgent care or give me some remedies that work because I am STRUGGLING!!
