Network setup for gaming purposes and others

Currently, I am thinking of improving my home network setup for privacy and gaming. For myself, I play MOBA games a lot on my computer where gaming latency matters that could affects my performance, and sometimes I need to work from home. There are also tenants and my family members living at the house. What are some network setup advices I can use to balance between network privacy and my gaming, thanks.
