Hello,

At 7 weeks I went in for an emergency ultrasound because I was having some light spotting and they diagnosed me with a SCH. I was also told I was having twins. They found a heart beat on both of them super strong. Twin a measured 7 w 1 day & twin B measured 6 weeks 2 days. They both were looking good and strong. I came back for my second ultrasound at 8 weeks which was the following week and the tech told me she couldn’t find a heartbeat and told me the second twin had vanished. She also told me I have a tilted uterus so it was hard to find things even with vaginal ultrasound. Nothing would show on the abdominal ultrasound due to that. I am currently 11 weeks and they didn’t want to see me back until 3 weeks later. Is it normal for the tech to tell you about the loss over a doctor? For some reason I thought a doctor would need to confirm it.

Photo one is the day we found out it was twins.
Photo 2 is from the second ultrasound showing baby b “that vanished”
Photo 3 is baby a zoomed in also at the second ultrasound.

I am praying for a miracle and I really don’t want to accept the report that I was given. I am looking to get a second opinion. Is there any chance maybe my tilted uterus affected this? Maybe the other baby is just growing a little more ahead? I’m not sure. I will be 12 weeks at my next appointment and I am just praying for a God given miracle. Please pray 🤍

Other than that I have had a great pregnancy but the morning sickness and food aversions have been awful.

Vanishing twin - need some hope
