Problem:
Apple’s default Stickies app looks and feels very old. Most modern note apps are either bloated full note-taking systems, Electron-based and heavy, or push everything into cloud/sync accounts when I just want simple always-visible desktop notes.

Comparison:

• vs Apple Stickies — much cleaner modern design with macOS Liquid Glass style, better readability, and local JSON storage that’s easy to backup or version-control.
• vs heavier tools like Bear / Notion / OneNote — those are powerful databases. Stick is deliberately minimal: just floating notes on your desktop, no accounts, no cloud, no extra features getting in the way.

Built 100% native in SwiftUI (no Electron), stores everything locally, and stays lightweight.
