ICCE: The Interactive Cinematic Cyberpunk Experience

Cosplay

Sorry, not really sure where the best /r was to post this, but it involves cosplay so...) I had a strange dream where I walked into a movie theater not knowing what the movie was.

It was set up like a huge old fashioned movie theater where they used to have a small stage in front of the screen except that there was a futuristic podium in the center of it.

We sat down in the back with a few minutes to spare before the show started, so many people were milling about.

Then it hit me: most of the attendees were dressed up Cyberpunk 2077 cosplay (including a couple fully recreated LED biker jackets)!

Then the lights dimmed and went out, the crowd roared enthusiastically, and everyone took their seats. (Everbody's LED clothing looked so cool in the dark!)

An ominous, yet warm, deep rumbling synth bass  song began to pour out of the theater speakers.

Then a thin blanket of wispy, heavy fog began to creep out of the stage and onto the floor near the front rows.

After the fog, tiny pin pricks of dark red laser lights (like a 3D hologram) began to form everywhere around the audience until the darkness of the theater was filled with an intricate mosaic of tiny red pinpricks of light.

On the tiny stage a preacher woman stood up rising  7ft tall. (On hidden stilts, maybe?)

She was wreathed in a Cyberpunk version of the Holocaust Cloak from *The Princess Bride* but this cloak was transparent and it was lighted in a similar fashion as the tiny red pinpricks of light surrounding us.

Then I realized the scene was patterned after the Wake in the Voodoo Boyz church. (And yes, I know the scene in the game had a man as the preacher and he wore no cloak and stood at normal height.)

Simulataneously the screen began to project that iconic cyber-esoteric Voodoo Veve from that same scene.

Then the preacher woman began to give the same sermon as from the game. As she spoke, the words appeared on screen in a cyberpunk stylized font and the crowd recited with her a mantra of techno-theocracy.

The lights went dark again and a gritty synthwave song began to play in the dark (allowing the preacher woman time to exit).

After a moment of suspense, the screen lit up with the image if V staring at herself in the mirror. (*I played as the female V*)  the crowd cheered again as the Interactive Cinematic Cyberpunk Experience (*or ICCE) truly started!

...then I woke up... 😶... 😮‍💨... 🤬!#%@!!

Well, what are your thoughts. Have I been playing too much Cyberpunk or could this be the start of a new wave of an audience involved movie experience similar to how fans interact with The Rocky Horror Picture Show where the fans get onto the stage in costume and recite lines from the game turned movie?

We'd have to condense a massive open world choices matter game down into a single 2-3hr movie, but can we please make this dream a reality!? 😆😅
