Samsung getting rid of Samsung Messages is ruining one of the best productivity features
I use my S25 for both personal and work stuff. I’m a community organizer, so I’m constantly texting a ton of different people throughout the day.
One thing I loved about Samsung Messages was being able to sort contacts/conversations into categories. It genuinely helped my work-life balance. When I was home, I didn’t have to feel buried in work messages, and when I was working, it made it way easier to find the conversations I actually needed.
Now Samsung is killing the app, and I’m distraught. The RCS in Google Messages is cool, but it still feels like a huge downgrade for the way I use my phone.
So I’m wondering:
Are there any messaging apps that allow this kind of organization/customization? Or does anyone have workarounds that help separate work and personal texts?
