Dating as a mom!

Hi all, I (28F) have a son who i had very young. At 16 years old. I’ve been single most of my adult life because I’ve been focusing on my career and raising my son.

I play a lot of video games online and I recently met a man who lives an hour from me and we hit it off. I’m a very private person in my gaming life (mostly communications through discord). I have had one date with this guy and it went extremely well. I still haven’t disclosed much about my personal life, and i was holding off until we met in person and i was able to see how I felt about him face to face.

I haven’t dated anyone who hasn’t known my from my home state so this makes me feel like a fish out of water. I’m not looking for his stepfather or a provider, just hopefully any person that enters my life becomes a role model and a safe adult for him.

When is the right time to start discussing my son in the dating world?
