Is there a difference from which side of door I’m picking?

I’ve lost a key for my electricity box (warden style key), watched some videos and practiced picking it with brand new lock. The thing is I can only do it from one side (inside), from other side (accesible side) I can’t even manage to find a tension. Not going to add any photos due to rules but if anyone has an advice, please drop in dm’s :)
