CPS 2.0 with VPN/NAS

Has anyone sucessfully used MOTOTRB CPS 2.0 with a VPN/NAS active?

I work often on the road and connect to my NAS via a VPN. MOTOTRB CPS 2.0, since it creates a network adaptor, is giving me issues.

I tried routes cost... but its not enough as the minute VPN runs MOTOTRB "stops" talking to the radio devices (read, write, etc)
