2021 vs. 2022 AWD Kona

Hi! I was looking at a 2022 AWD preferred Kona with 60,000kms on it, but it was unfortunately sold. The dealership is offering me a 2021 AWD luxury with 40,000kms in its place. Both cars have clean car fax and regular maintenance. They are both certified pre-owned. However, I’ve heard the 2018-2021 Konas aren’t the best, and have engine piston ring recalls and issues and they burn oil like mad. Has this been your experience? Would you take the 2021 luxury trim over the 2022 preffered?
