Pixel 8 Extended Repair Program Refusal

Has anyone else been randomly rejected from having the faulty screen on their Pixel 8 replaced under the extended repair program? My phone has all the telltale signs listed on the webpage (vertical white line running from top to bottom of screen), but when I look up my IMEI it doesn't qualify. I purchased this phone new from Bestbuy less then two years ago. Google support refused to give me an answer other than "your device doesn't qualify".

Anyone had any luck convincing them to fix their broken hardware?
