Florida Counselor Requirements

I am a current school teacher in Florida. I have my Masters in Educational Leadership.

My assistant principal mentioned that the requirements for school counselor might’ve recently changed, whereas I might not need a masters degree in counseling in order to get a statement of eligibility/add it to my certificate.

Can someone confirm what would need to be done in order to be a school counselor?
