You do have to keep in mind, contextually, the current power ran on being anti-deep state (anti-CIA, anti-intelligence agencies). They would rather “run it like a business” and let it be under corporate control. DOGE exfiltrated (and Palantir likely received) some of the most important and sensitive data in the entire country, not just on individuals and intelligence, but ‘nuclear secrecy’ (born secret) classified collections as well, and now Palantir is deeply embedded within the apparatus. So they’re making big moves.
Alas…
Luna, Gabbard, Burlison and co likely are not targets, due to their proximity to the admin. The intelligence apparatus would be signing their own death warrant if they were confirmed to have taken any of them out.
Gabbard and Luna both have clear ties to a foreign nation, so they don’t have to worry about foreign targeting. Burlison doesn’t have that connection, as far as the public knows anyway. But because Palantir’s close ties to the admin, I think the intel community understands they can’t do anything too drastic.
It’s not all a show, but it is performative.
