Been waiting for someone to do this properly. Most aircooled EFI conversions still feel like a parts-bin assembly; ITBs from one source, standalone ECU from another, harness fabricated locally, sensors picked off a shelf, and a lot of crossed fingers on the integration side.

BBI Autosport went a different direction with their Aircooled Powertrain System. Built specifically for the early 911, 964, and 993, both NA and forced induction. The components are designed to work together from the start:

Purpose-built ITBs for the flat-six (not adapted from another platform)
Platform-specific ECU and plug-and-play wiring harness with tunable base maps
Cam sensor kit that enables sequential fuel injection and individual cylinder timing
Finished distributor block-off kit, OE-quality
Full sensor package validated to the ECU
Shared connectors and documentation across every part

The pitch is that it ships pre-configured for guys who want to install and drive, and it is fully tunable for shops doing serious dyno work. Pikes Peak development background, which lines up with the kind of validation this stuff actually needs.

We're sourcing this through Bulletproof Automotive on the build side. Curious if anyone here is running a standalone setup on a 964 or 993 right now; what are you running for harness and cam sync, and how clean is your integration between ITBs, ECU, and sensors?

BBI Autosport just released a complete EFI system for early 911, 964, and 993, engineered as one ecosystem instead of a parts list
