Welcome to r/MindStory - Say hi and share your stories!
Hey everyone, I'm Kenneth. I built MindStory and I'm the solo dev behind it.
MindStory is interactive AI fiction. You enter a world, take on a character, and the story actually responds to what you do and say. Characters remember earlier scenes, relationships evolve, your inventory and world state carry forward. You can build your own Virtual Experiences (worlds, characters, lore, the stats you want tracked) or play ones others have made.
I started building this because I'd always loved reading and wanted something that let me actually live inside a story instead of just watching it happen. I've been using it daily ever since, mostly for parental sims (raising a kid named Kai) and zombie survival stories. Recently decided it was time to stop building in private and share it.
This subreddit is for:
Screenshots of cool moments from your stories. The scene that surprised you. The callback you didn't expect. The character who refused to break voice.
Virtual Experience showcases. Built something cool? Share it.
Feature requests and bug reports. I read every post. If something is broken or missing, tell me.
Worldbuilding discussion. How do you set up characters? What makes a story land for you?
Anything else fiction or AI storytelling related, within reason.
A few ground rules: be kind, tag NSFW content, no promoting other AI products (this isn't a CAI alternatives hub).
I'd love to see what you build. If you want to try MindStory, it's at https://mindstory.ai. Free to try, no card.
Welcome.
