Lockpicking very hard chests that are close to a sleeping person [KCD2]

These chests are the only ones I can't open. My lockpicking is 25, 30 with buffs, but it's just not enough, and apparently you can't go byond 30 even with buffs. The slightest noise wakes up the people next to these chests. Are you only supposed to try to open these during the day? And I'm playing on PC with 400 dpi, kinda curious what it's like on console with a controller.
