My girlfriend is being completely unreasonable about a female friend of mine

PLEASE READ: I (38F) am going through a break-up and I am posting this as my (ex-) boyfriend (40M). These are the issues he's highlighted to me, as well as a wide variety of different exact quotes he's said to me A cathartic essay for me, if you feel like escaping your own relationship problems and divulging into mine. Feel free to delete if not allowed.

Hi there, I am having some trouble with my GF of 6 months. We started out great, she is awesome, so cool, independent and we have a lot of fun together on many activities we both enjoy, but recently there are a few issues we've come accross.

First, I took her skiing, and she said she had done it a few times and knew how to. But I took her on a blue (granted it was an east coast blue and very icy that day) and she completely freaked out and couldn't do it. I was trying to help her, and she also yelled at me because I wasn't doing it right. She made everything feel like it was my fault, when all I was doing was trying to help her, but I wasn't doing it the right way. I kept getting in front of her board and that annoyed her even more, even though I didn't know what to do. She also almost started crying up there (I guess because she was panicking). But it made me feel like I couldn't do anything right. I told her I didn't like her snapping at me. She said it was because she was scared, but how selfish was she? I did not like being yelled at on the mountain. She did apologize a lot and she said this was a common phenomena that many couples go through, but I didn't care. It sucked that day and I hated it.

Second, we go rock climbing, and this will sort of translate over to that. She used to be fun, but now she complains all the time. She says I always pull her too tight, and I have felt snapped at too sometimes when she's been short with me. She always feels like she's not good enough rock climbing, like I am. She says this to me. She has failed many of the routes we've tried, and even though I know her level, we jumped a couple of levels and she couldn't succeed on any routes. She says that made her feel bad. I HATE this attitude of hers. Granted she said that on a day we had just run 10 miles. She might have been tired. But why is she so negative? She should just get out there and have fun? Not be embarassed about not being good enough in front of everybody. That was so annoying of her.

Third, she complains all the time about a female friend I have. This person, I met around the same time as her, 6 months ago, but we are strictly just friends. She has been an amazing friend to me and I can rely on her so much. She's been really amazing to talk to about so many different things, like different life topics and stuff. She also tells me all the time how grateful and happy she is to have me in her life, and that our friendship is really valuable to her.

This friend of mine has no interest in dating me and always says about how she hates men and they're all the same and will never date again blah blah. But we do talk all the time, we text everyday all day, about everything, small things we're doing, like our gym workouts, our (separate) vacations we have planned, what we ate, different appointments we have throughout the day, who our friends our, and different small things. My girlfriend has seen our texts, they're just mainly about that. It's so fun to talk to her. She is also totally on the same wavelength as me and she never complains about anything, when we do stuff together. I'll also go out of my way to do stuff for her, like drive to pick up packages from her aunts house, meanwhile I'll complain to my girlfriend all the time that I hate driving and never want to do anything.

There was this whole thing where my GF was trying to teach me how to use chopsticks, and I never even tried. I hated that my GF was pushing that on me. But, one time I went to dinner with my friend, and I immediately tried them! It was so fun. I had no choice, the server just walked away and it was too awkward to ask her to bring a fork and knife, even though I did exactly that when I went to dinner with my GF. I dunno why my GF was forcing that so much.

Ugh, also, I sat on the same side of the table as my friend for the dinner, and she posted it all over IG, and my GF got annoyed by that. She always gets annoyed by our IG posts. My friend just posts an insane number of pictures when we're together. My GF always says it looks to others online that me and my friend are dating, if people didn't know they were just friends, but shes so wrong. My friend just posts all the time.

I told my friend that my GF is uncomfortable, and my friend rightly said that it's totally normal to have guy friends, and there's nothing wrong with that. But then my GF said my friend never posts a single other guy like that. Why would she? And who cares? We are not dating. There's also other hikes and stuff we've done alone, just the two of us, and my friend then always posts pictures of just me and her together, like our legs dangling off the edge, etc. Oh btw - I hike with my friend all the time, but I always complain when I'm hiking with my GF that I HATE hikes. I also started walking 20 ft ahead of her all hikes. Like it doesn't even matter if she is there behind me or not. I don't care. Shes so slow and annoying.

My GF also complains that I never take enough photos of her, but I take plenty of my friend. That's not true. I just never think to take photos of my GF, but always automatically take them of my friend because I know she loves them!

My GF is just annoyed with our level of communication and always says there is something there, but there is not. I would not even want to date this friend now because of the friendship we have and I would never want to ruin that. But we do leave each other good morning voice messages, and we talk to each other on the phone all the time. I have no hesitation to call her when needed. I go out of my way to do favors for her, which annoys my girlfriend every single time, because my GF says I never do favors for her. I told my GF there were no opportunities for me to do similar things for her.

When my girlfriend isn't there, I hang out with my friend, almost every single weekend. Actually, I don't even hang out or reach out to anyone else anymore, like the other people I met this friend through. I love hanging out with her. She's so fun, and my girlfriend is not anymore. I put all my time, energy, and attentiveness to her. I have no idea why my girlfriend would be upset about that. It's making her very jealous and insecure and it's annoying me. She should just be secure and totally believe me. Actually, I have not changed a single aspect about my relationship with this friend, since my girlfriend bought it up, we have in fact become closer. I text her more than my girlfriend now. Why should I change anything about my behavior with this girl anyway? We're not doing anything wrong. We are totally just friends, and we would never change that.

I invited her on a trip with my girlfriend, and I know I was catering to my friend more because my girlfriend was annoying the hell out of me that day. Basically, I go rock climbing with my friend all the time, but this time, my girlfriend came too. She insinuated that my friend made her do something dangerous, which was not AT ALL what she was trying to do. Apparently my friend told my GF to do something if she felt comfortable, and my girlfriend did it, but she got really upset, came over to my crying almost, and said that she felt pressured to do it and didn't want to/shouldn't have done it. I told her she never should have done that in the first place if she didn't felt comfortable. What the hell? Why would she blame my friend. It was not fair of her to blame my friend. She only has herself to blame in this situation, my friend did nothing wrong at all.

I just think me and my GF are not compatible anymore and I want to break up. Any thoughts?
