Shared laundry room

My issue is I live in a 80+ multi unit apartment complex. Used to be for elderly and disabled but now if you can pay rent you can live here.

We have a grand total of 3 top load and 1 front load washers and 4 dryers. People are just disgusting!

Babies, toddlers, men who work with asphalt, cat and dog hair...I think you get the idea. Property management said it's the tenants responsibility to maintain machines unless broken.

I have been hand washing the best I can but I'm elderly and disabled and it becomes harder every day.

My question is can I reasonably clean one washing machine and be somewhat confident that I might be able to maintain it? Yes we pay $3.75 per wash so it won't be cheap and have to dry hot heat $3.75 because of recent bedbug issues in other units.

I think it's beyond my scope. Any ideas? Thanks for reading
