Anyone else still believe people are generally good or nah?

Discussion

Growing up I always looked for the best in people, I thought people generally don't view themselves as villains and most conflict was based on misunderstandings, and I thought humans, though flawed, could solve almost any problem.

I still feel that way and I still get burned by being stepped on and taken advantage of. But I also still meet people who are genuine and seeking the best out of others and the world.

My wife has given up. She has seen enough nastiness in the world by this point that she now believes people are generally selfish, mean, and shortsighted.

At the moment, I don't quite agree, but I definitely see where she's coming from.

Any of yall still have any faith left in humanity or nah?
