Was the Zodiac Just a Loser With a Police Scanner?

Hey guys, regarding the Zodiac. We’re not dealing with some criminal mastermind here; this was just some absolute loser with a police scanner. Personally, I think he only killed two people: the girl at the lake (where the guy survived) and the cab driver.

Look at his shaky hands — the dude was clearly drunk or drugged out, especially considering his gun at the lake wasn’t even real. And that costume? It's pure loser sublimation, a total real-life version of Professor Chaos from South Park. No actual hunter or military guy would ever wear completely flat-soled boots into the woods. No experienced serial killer would do that either; you wear simple, low-profile, practical clothes, not a literal masquerade costume to stroke your own ego. I bet he barely even traveled outside his own city.

I’m convinced he shot the cabbie with a revolver he’d just bought the day before — likely under his own name, just in a neighboring town. As for the earlier attacks, his phone calls always came after the police had already dispatched. He was clearly scanning police frequencies while living right next to a station and a payphone, trying to take credit for crimes he didn't commit.

He was probably a 20-to-25-year-old comic book nerd. He went into the woods with a knife and a custom outfit just to give his letters some "proof" that he actually existed. He was obsessed with true crime chronicles — cutting off a piece of the cabbie’s shirt was a blatant copycat move lifted straight from Jack the Ripper. He was desperately trying to look like a dangerous serial killer without understanding the actual logic or motivation of one. He just craved attention for his non-existent personality.

He most likely lived with his mom and an older sister who was always held up as the golden child — which explains why he targeted the woman at the lake so much more aggressively with the knife. He was a high school dropout who never had a girlfriend. He was quite literally a nobody trying to manufacture a myth around himself, not some dangerous, chameleon-like predator like Rodney Alcala or Ted Bundy. He wasn’t even a lucky, cold-blooded psycho like Richard Ramirez. He’s definitely not on any of the official suspect lists; guys like Arthur Leigh Allen and the others were far more fully-formed personalities.

He probably stopped writing letters simply because he moved to another state, got bored, or eventually got married. The whole thing was basically a prank born out of boredom and his own sheer insignificance.

We’ve been looking for the wrong guy this whole time. The Zodiac was literally just a young, uneducated, drunk, bitter loser with a terrible imagination.
